Women's Team Canada Names The Captain

Vaughan, Canada – The National Ball Hockey Association of Canada is proud to name and congratulate the Women's captain for the 2022 World Ball Hockey Championship.

Melissa Miller will lead the group into Slovakia.  The Kingston, Ontario native has been a leader in the locker room and continues to mould the group and young players the program has brought in over the years.

Miller has been with the program since 2013 and been a part of three gold and one silver medal wins.

“It’s an honour, it’s such a storied program” expressed Miller “We have a locker room full of great players and a bunch of great leaders.”

“We have a great group of young women leading our players, who are all prepared to lead the team in 2022" stated Terry King, Head Coach.

The 2022 World Ball hockey Federation Championships will be hosted in Bratislava, Slovakia the week of June 19-25.

Women's Team Canada Names Alternate Captains

Vaughan, Canada – The National Ball Hockey Association of Canada is proud to congratulate the leadership group named for the 2022 World Ball Hockey Championship. 

On Thursday, Canada announced the alternate captains for Canada’s National Team, with Corissa Parker, Shannon Turner and Isabel Menard.

“These three players are all leaders in their own right, who have the respect of their teammates,” said Terry King, Head Coach of Canada’s National Team.

King continued, "all three bring great character and determination and we are excited to have them as alternate captains.”

The 2022 World Ball hockey Federation Championships will be hosted in Bratislava, Slovakia the week of June 19-25.

The Captain announcement will be made on Saturday.

2022 Masters Canada Cup Ball Hockey

The 2022 Masters Canada Cup Ball Hockey Championships will be hosted in Brampton and this event is open to all players born in 1987 or earlier and the Championship begin August 9 and ends August 13.

The tournament is open to Canada and US teams, but read the roster eligibility on the site.

 

The championships offer 4 guaranteed preliminary round games and based a 16 team format 12 will advance to the BIG 12 round followed by the ELTE EIGHT (Quarters), FINAL FOUR (Semis) and Canada Cup Championship games.

The event is open to the first 16 teams and prize pool will be as follows based on the number of teams entered:

 

Based on 16 team format 

1st - $15000 

2nd - $ 4000

3rd - $ 1000

The National Ball Hockey Association of Canada is hosting the 2022 Canada Cup Ball Hockey Championships in Halifax, Nova Scotia the weekend of May 26-29, 2022.

The Championships will be offering, Men’s B, C, D and Masters and Women’s B & C divisions in North America.

The tournament will take place at venues in Halifax and will guarantee four games.

Teams are expected to play one game Thursday, two games on Friday and one game on Saturday and elimination round may commence Saturday evening.

WBHF World Masters Elite Championships

The World Ball Hockey Federation is hosting the Inaugural Masters Elite Ball Hockey Championships which will be hosted in Niagara Falls Canada the weekend of October 15-17, 2021 in partnership with Ballhockey.com.

All games will be hosted at the Haig Bowl located at 17 Beech Street (St.  Catharines) and player eligibility is Over 45 (born in 1975 or before) and teams may have six underagers between the ages of 40-44 years old. 

The preliminary round gets going on Friday, October 15 at 12 noon and ends on Sunday, October 17 with the gold medal final.  

Game day tickets can be purchased at the gate for $10/event pass or $5/day pass.
